The Oulunsalo Soi chamber music festival brings both international and Finnish top musicians, and local stars, to the Oulu region. Concerts are held at atmospheric venues that welcome everyone to enjoy the music. The artistic director of this festival that was first organised in 1999 is Kreeta-Maria Kentala, a violinist and a powerhouse of traditional music from Kaustinen. Oulunsalo Soi is part of the Oulu August Festival.
