The concerts of the Oulu Symphony Orchestra attract both individual visitors and large groups to enjoy music, without language or cultural barriers. All you need to do is to sit down and enjoy the music.
From January to May and from September to December, the Oulu Symphony Orchestra gives a concert in the Madetoja hall every Thursday evening. The programme highlights Nordic music and international artists, as well as orchestra music from various time periods, children’s concerts, opera and popular music concerts. The artistic standards for the concerts may be high, but the threshold for attending is low!
The Oulu Symphony Orchestra has long traditions and consists of 61 professional musicians. It celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2017, and the great musical journey continues.
