Oulu-opisto, owned by the city of Oulu, has six departments: languages, music, arts, handicrafts, sports and wellness, dance and theater.
The community college is open to all ages. The vast majority of Finnish students are adults. We also provide courses for educational visitors over 16 years of age!

The Community College offers
- 5- and 10-day Tailor-made English language courses for foreign student groups
- 5- and 10-day Tailor-made Finnish Language courses for total beginners to more advanced Finnish-language learners.
Different types of learning methods are used. Both of the courses are also an immersion in Finnish culture and education. For example, while learning English language, the students might be baking Finnish treats, exercising Finnish sports or doing handicrafts.
