Meri Oulu is a summer theatre in the Toppilansaari district of Oulu. Its programme consists of plays, concerts and stand-up comedy. With covered seating for 2,600 people, Meri Oulu has the largest capacity of Finland’s summer theatres. The area has several restaurants and bars, and the restaurants have liquor licences. There is covered restaurant seating for more than a thousand people. Restaurant sales close five minutes before the beginning of a performance and open again immediately at the start of the intermission or at the end of the performance. Restaurants remain open throughout concerts.
