University of Oulu Botanical Gardens

The University of Oulu botanical garden is one of the northernmost scientific gardens in the world. Established for teaching and research needs, the garden presents a diverse array of plants to the public.

The pyramid-shaped “Romeo and Juliet” greenhouses contain about 1,200 plant species from different climatic regions of the world. The outdoor garden contains over 4,000 different plants adapted to the northern climate.
