The Oulu Music Festival is an annual multi-art winter festival held in March, in weeks 11 and 12, and fills the city with international and Finnish visiting artists. The festival programme includes a wide range of classical and rhythm music concerts, clubs and co-productions featuring contemporary circus and dance, for example. International master classes in classical and rhythm music are also held annually in conjunction with the festival. In addition to the festival, the Oulu Music Festival Foundation produces a year-round Jazz & Etno concert series, as well as individual music events.
