Kauppatori – Market Square

The Market Square is a hub of activity during the summer. The bustling square is throbbing with life from dawn to dusk, and the surrounding old storehouses are now home to restaurants and cafés, and boutiques selling handicrafts, clothing and interior decoration products. All comings and goings are supervised by ‘The Bobby at the Market Place’. This statue stands in front of the Market Hall in honour of the officers who used to police the square in days gone by.
